    Help Urgent !

    hi,

just set up a new store in Actinic V7 , clicked update to upload site, it got as far as "Checking Search Indices then the upload box just vanished and the whole upload process stops.

any ideas on what is causing this problem would be appreciated

    thank you

    It doesn't sound familiar.

Have you set up your network settings and have you tested them?

    Mike

PS. I'm sure everyone would appreciate it if you edited your post to make your text normal size. There's no need to shout.

Is it a site for the partially sighted?

Did the network test pass OK or come back with any errors? Standard first step is to compact the database, re-open Actinic and try again - compacting solves a multitude of sins.

        upload

        hi

sorry font size corrected, have run a netwrok test all ok, Script ID set to 1, but when i try and upload, it reports a web server error and asks me to check settings in Web - Configure website details etc, which i have done

this is the error message i get when i try to upload

Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.

        any thoughts
        ?

If the network settings test passes without reporting any errors, then can you tell us if you just updated the site or did a refresh? A refresh is the way to go 'Web | Refresh Website'.

            Kind regards,

Actinic themsleves are hosting the website for me.

it only uploads half my website, you cant view any of the products and the checkout pages are not shown.

                      Some questions:

Is this a new store (the only one) or another store on the same webspace?
Are you using Actinic Developer (or Catalog or Business) and what version?
If you have other sites are they uploading etc OK?

                        network setting

                        hi

i have attached 2 screen dumps one showing my network settings if its of help to anybody, the second is the error message i get when i try to upload the website to the server.

I have checked my web settings cant see anything obvious which is wrong, can anybody tell my what the cgi settings should be ? are they correct as shown in my screen dump attached, this is what i was sent from Actinic when they set up my hosting account, i imported it into network settings.

                        thanks guys

The best way to post the network settings are to 'export' them to a text file and then copy and paste them into the forum. As it is a lot of the details are cut off.

The path from cgi-bin to acatalog directory looks wrong. That should be ../acatalog/
