Navigation Breatcrumbs

Hello all

I am trying to put a breadcrumb navigation on my site, i know you can do it using actinic because i have seen them on other actinic sites.

Could anyone help me out because i cant find out how to do it for the life of me!

Hi,

You need to add NETQUOTEVAR:PARENTSECTIONSTOP to the appropriate location in Act_ProductBody.html. That's the NQV that controls the breadcrumb trail...if you need to edit the breadcrumb itself, use Act_ParentSectionsLink.html, Act_ParentSectionSeparator.html and Act_ParentSectionThis.html

Is it possible to stop the first section link going to the "Site Default > Base Page Name:" page? I have a none actinic home page that i upload onto the server (index.html) and for the Base Page Name i use "index2.html" to get around this. But we dont want anyone to see "index2.html" at all.

Any ideas? this is driving me crazy!

Hey there,

Browse to your site folder and open Act_ParentSectionsLink.html with Notepad.

Change:

NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONLINK

To:

http://www.YOUWEBADDRESS.com/acatalog/index.html

Also add this under the full line:

<!-- NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONLINK-->

Save | Close

Upload and test
