    Merging databases?

A while ago whilst doing a version upgrade (from 6.0.1) I managed to trash the order database, with it starting again empty of orders after upgrading to the new version of Actinic (6.1.3 now). Orders came in and it's now no longer empty. I have a file with the old database in it, and wonder if there's a way of merging old & new so that it's all in one file.

Does anyone know if this is possible using Actinic, or is it something that has to be done in Access?

    Cheers

There is no facility in Actinic for merging order histories. I guess you are going to have to do it in Access.

As there is a clear cut off point (i.e. there wont be any orders in both databases) you should be ably to copy and paste the rows from the old [Orders], [OrderDetails], [Persons] and [Payments] tables into the top of the new tables.

Obviously, make sure you do a backup first.
