    Graphical error after snap shot import

    After trying other themes for a few experimental minutes I decided to stick with my modified old Smart Theme. Thankfully after a snap shot import I managed to get back to my original site and everything looks as it was.

    Curiously two graphical elements seem to be missing though. They appear to be the rounded corners of the central 'column'.

    I've done a refresh and compacted the database.

    Please see attached pic as an example.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks
    David

    In Smart theme, these images are "righttab_pal1.gif" & "lefttab_pal1.gif" which should be referenced

    (a) in each template and

    (b) stored in the Site1 folder

    (The original Actinic file is a square corner, but somewhere on this forum is a thread leading you to a rounded corner - in fact, by changing the image but retaining the name, you can theoretically have any shape/image on the corners)

    So, either - you have lost these files from your Site1 folder or,

    your templates do not reference them correctly.

    A url of your website would help, as other members can then view the source code to see if it is correct.

      I've checked the Site1 folder and both those graphical elements exist. I've copied and pasted below the reference to them in one of the templates. I can't see anything myself but not sure what I am looking for :-)

      <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
      <tr>
      <td width="2%" bgcolor="NETQUOTEVAR:PALCOLOR1CSS" valign="top"><img src="lefttab_pal1.gif"></td>
      <td width="92%" bgcolor="NETQUOTEVAR:PALCOLOR1CSS" height="22" class="actsmallheading"><b>NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER</b></td>
      <td width="6%" bgcolor="NETQUOTEVAR:PALCOLOR1CSS" align="right" valign="top"><img src="righttab_pal1.gif"></td>
      </tr>

        Some thoughts...

        If this is when you are previewing the site then also copy the gifs to the PreviewHTML folder. If this fixes the problem then also add them to the addtional files list in Actinic.

        If this is online then check that the files actually exists on the server by typing:
        http:// mysitesdomain /acatalog/lefttab_pal1.gif
        if not then add them to the additional files list.

          Thanks for that. The two files appeared to be missing from the server for some reason. I just uploaded them manually from my Site1 folder to the acatalog folder using Site Explorer in my 1and1 control panel.

          Can't think why it would happen after a snap shot import. I just hope something else 'small' isn't missing and I just havn't spotted it yet.

          Thanks for your help.

            Don't forget to add them to the Additional Files List in Actinic.
