import snapshot error

Trying to install a snapshot from one one machine to another brought up the following error:
"Invalid VxD dynamic link call from VWIN32(05) + 0000119E to device "0002", service1. Your windows configuration is invalid."
The snapshot was exported from a WinXP machine, and attempted import was to a Win98 machine. Both have Catalog version 5.1.6 installed with same activation key (I am looking to transfer day-to-day operations from my development machine where I have been running things, to the shop machine).
I have tried reinstalling windows 98 on the Win98 machine, although this had not effect, and same error occured.
I am pretty sure I have transferred snapshots between the 2 machines before without problem.
Any suggestions?

Copy the site 1 folder and housekeeping key from PC to PC

Hi Martin

Please could you answer the following questions:

1. Do you get this error message when you are previewing the catalog or is it just when you are taking the snapshot

2. Do you have a lot of background programs running, then best way to check, is to either do [CTRL]+[ALT]+[DEL] and count the amount or program it is running? If their are a few, then it possible that they are causing you problems.

3. Is windows functioning normal, do you get any general protection faults with any programs

Have copied Site1 and keys over. On the new machine Retrieve Orders is grayed out (option to process orders on this machine has been checked). Have tried a Update Website, but this has gone into a complete Refresh for some reason, which I have left running overnight. Hopefully all will be well in the morning when I return!

To answer Nadeem:
The error message was on importing the snapshot on our second PC. There was no error on export from original PC. Second PC has identical security keys and using same licence. Only difference is it is running Win98, whereas original PC is running WinXP.

No extra progrs were running, as second attempt I had actually reinstalled Win98 to see if that soldved the problem, but it didn't. Win98 been running fine on that machine for years.

Windows appears to be functioning normally (though that is always subjective!!!!), and no unusual general protection faults with any programs

Am trying a complete copy over of Site 1 (see above). Will report back he results tomorrow.

Just to say thanks - copying over the entite site1 worked where the snpashot failed, although it did force a complete site refresh (which is no bad thing I suppose)
