    weird things going on!

    Hi guys!

I'm back again for some advice.......

On my site "bosslighting . co . uk" all the links point to http://bosslighting.......

But the left yahoo style nav is pointing to a http://bosslighting.... when you hover over it, but when you click it it goes to a http://your.bosslighting......

Whats with the "your" bit, ive looked in the network setup and theres not "your" in there.

    Whats going on ?

<edited> ok - little bit more to this, i searched on google.com for my site using site:bosslighting and my homepage url was your.bosslighting which i clicked then all my pages ended up being your.bosslighting apart from the hard-coded ones

    This make sense ?

it would make sense if your domain has some daft subdomain pointing to it as well. What host are you using.

you could always log into your control panel online and see if there are any subdomains there.

and if there are none, then restrict access to the your. zone by using htaccess.

My host is webfusion and ive spoken to them but they dont know.

They say there are no sub-domains within my site

even the newest homepage is now coming up as your.bosslighting within google.

I would have thought this would have happend if i uploaded to website url your.bosslighting, but its not

I have 24 pages on google of this "your.bosslighting" and the rest are normal, dont make sense

in the following URL if your replace xxx with anything you like you will see your site all URLs resolve to the same IP so its definately picking thesite from your webspace (nothing to do with the presence of subdomains).
        Code:
        http://xxx.bosslighting.co.uk
thus i suspect it is the way webfusion configures DNS namely A records.

you should do 2 things to force the correction if you can't persaude webfusion to do anything, [although I would phone them back and ask them to type in zzz.boss etc, or abc.boss and so on.]

1 go to your google webmaster tools and tell it the preferred domain is http://boss etc

2 create an HTaccess to redirect all traffic to http://boss
