    Prompts on price Button

    Hi,

    I've encountered a silly but annoying problem and it's probably got an easy workaround.

    I want to change the 'Buy Now' graphic on a single product to say 'Open Account' but when I type the text into the box in Prompts > Button nothing seems to change?

    Any advice anyone please?

    Cheers

      Hi gary,

      But won't this change ALL Buy Now buttons accross the site? I just want to amend one product so people can open a wholesale account which is free. It looks a bit silly with Buy Now on it!

      Cheers

        Brian you are goingto the correct place.....my only thought is whether you are using a graphic for your buy button or using the actinic default one.

        ie in Design|options|shopdefault have you got the text radio button on....

          That's the one Jo, I liked the image for 'Buy Now' it looks worse with the default 'Add to cart' button but at least it works.

          Thank you

              If this product has no variants (Components or Attributes) then you could try using a customised product template with the

              NETQUOTEVAR:ADDTOCARTBUTTON

              replaced by

              Code:
              <!-- NETQUOTEVAR:ADDTOCARTBUTTON -->
              <INPUT TYPE="IMAGE" SRC="mycustomimage.gif" NAME="NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTREFERENCE" WIDTH="www" HEIGHT="hhh" BORDER="0>
              If you do use variants then read the bit in the Advanced Guide about custom variant layouts and replace the VARIANTCARTBUTTON as above.

                Thank you Norman,

                A usual, the perfect reply

                I absolutely overlooked the fact that I had used an image instead of the standart button, that's why (Gary) I didn't get your advice mate.

                Yes Gary, you did say what Jo said and of course, you were correct but it would not change if I had selected an image for the cart button and also, changing info on the button on that Options section (if I was using standard buttons) would of course alter the whole site's buttons and I just needed one changing individually.

                Cheers tho mate.
