Using more than 1 pc on a network

Hi - I know that this subject has been well covered, but I can't find the answer I need.

I'm moving my actinic from a pc upstairs to a pc downstairs. As these are networked, do I just install Act on the new pc, import snapshot etc, but leave Site 1 where it is?

The new installation will have its own site1 folder, and that is where you will import your snapshot.

Unless you buy the £1500 multi-user version, Actinic remains a local application.

Also - I guess its possible, but is it advisable to run actinic (inc Site 1 folder) from an external drive?

Not advisable, but it is a great idea to create a daily copy of Actinic site folder(s) on that external drive, preferably just after processing all the downloaded orders.
