Hi,

I have Actinic Developer 7 and I have been trialling version 8. In version 8 you can put new products and best sellers on to the home page of the catalog. Is this feature available in version 7, I have never come across it before.

Simple answer, NO

More detailed answer, NO. But, you could hard code some into the layout without difficulty if you wanted, although can be a pain to manage. There was an add on by another company at some point but i believe it isn't on sale anymore.

If you really need it, you should probably consider upgrading.

I presume to upgrade I need to purchase another licence for the version 8 software?

An upgrade licence. See the Actinic website or call sales.

Unless you have paid for support, in which case you should be able to upgrade for free. Either way, you can download v8 and try upgrading your site without buying, v7 and v8 will sit on the same pc happily. If you like it, go for it, no harm done.
