    Malcolm's absolutely right. IIRC it was introduced as a cheap way of encrypting the data to avoid the need for SSL. These days SSL is widely available and not that expensive. Customers are also more aware of the issue so even if the technology was reliable it still wouldn't be a good idea.

        Unfortunately, we can never really remove stuff in Actinic, as there may be hundreds of customers out there that we don't know about who are using it. Certainly the help and docs now tell you not to use it. I'll see whether we can hide this option for new customers.

          It would certainly save alot of hastle - from a new users prospective it looks a very good option to use as it saves time and money in not having to setup and pay for SSL.
