    PayPal Callbacks - No confirmation email again

    Hi Folks,

    Don't know if anyone else is having this problem again, but since some time yesterday the confirmation e-mail has stopped going to the customer and a copy to me again.

    I am using V7.0.4.0.0.0.FEVA

    I implemented the fix (adding the line into the OCCPayPal Template) and all was rosy until yesterday....all orders last night and today have not received a confirmation e-mail and neither have I (received a copy).

    I've not changed the PayPal template or anything like that recently - just added a few more products so it isn't that.

    Any ideas please?

    read the sticky on setting up Paypal, http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=30200

    use the info re setting up callbacks to check yours is correct in light of recent changes. Ignore the fact the sticky is for v8, the call back will be the same for 7

      Hi There,
      As mentioned in my original post, I have implemented the fix to the OCC PayPal Template and all was rosy until the day before yesterday...

        I'm getting the same problem.

        I only started using it recently, and the emails arrived intermittantly - judging by other threads this is where the confirmation isn't sent if the customer doesn't return to the receipt page from paypal.

        But the last one I received was at 06:20 yesterday, since then I've received NO emails on paypal payments on either site...

          Hi John,

          That's exactly it. When my site first went live it was fine. Then the confirmation e-mails became intermittent and then stopped completely. Spoke to PayPal who were useless and called Actinic and I was pointed in the direction of the OCCPayPal Template modification which did the trick until a couple of days ago when the confirmations emails stopped completely again.

          I spoke to PayPal yesterday but they just mentioned the IPN which is nothing to do with it... I've sent their merchant support team an e-mail but no reply yet...

          So...all you wizards out there...if anyone has a new fix for us please let us know!

              PayPal Call Backs

              Hi there,

              I am having the same problem with the Paypal System, I download an order but they are always in PSP pending and no confirmation email.

              Looking on the paypal website it says that in order to receive confirmation of payment that auto return needs to be turned on ! But in the instructions I found on this forum it instructs you to turn them off ! I am very confused now !

              Any help would be gladly received

                Hi Dave,

                What version of 7 are you running (Help | About)? There are a couple of bug fixes in 7.0.7 related to call backs not arriving to the merchant server so not authorising payment. This would make the orders download into Pending PSP and no emails to be sent out.

                  Hi Toby I am on Version 8.5.1 and I am using a Paypal Web site Payments. (not Pro)

                  Seen a lot of posts with people having same problem, I have tried the template modification as per the sticky but still no joy.

                  Any help would be gratefully received.

                    I don't use paypal but am having the problem?!?



                    I'm on 7.0.6.0.0.0.GBGA and have over this last week had customer calling us saying that have not had an email confirmation of their order so have we have their order. Extra calls we really can't afford to handle at this time of year being suppliers to the Education Industry.

                    I placed some test orders at the beginning of the week and got the email confirmations fine, but I put my work email which is outlook based and got. So I put it down to people being dim and typing the wrong email address in.

                    Today after customers still moaning, I placed and order and put my hotmail email thinking it might be a 'junk mail' filter thinigi. But no email came, to my inbox or junk mail.

                    I've just placed another order putting my outlook email and got my confirmation straight away?!?!?!

                    Any ideas anyone?

                      I would check with your host, maybe they are stopping certain email addresses. Hotmail and AOL email addresses are regularly a complete pain in the backside.

                        Dave,

                        The instructions on the sticky thread pointed out by 'Pinbrook' a few posts above is what you need to follow for callbacks to work with Actinic. If you have followed the instructions there and are still facing problems, I would suggest getting in touch with support (Actinic) and taking it forward. If you have a cover contract call in else, raise a ticket here.
