Discount not appearing

Hi all

we upgraded to busines today

we set up one discount code "EXPST01".

when we place a test order, we enter the code on the coupon box in the second page of the checkout but it does not show on the third one.

if you however refresh the third one it then shows.

anybody knows how to make the discount appear first time on the third page?

also how can we force the discount code to clear if somebody does not finish the checkout?
