How Can I Hide the Delivery Instructions field on my site?

Hi this is my first post - i looked at previous delivery related threads but could not seem to find the answer to this...

I do not want my customers to be able to have any delivery instructions as we use Royal Mail and they will not be adhered to.

Any ideas?

Deleting Special Delivery Instructions

Hi Melanie - welcome to the forum! Try this for starters:

Go to Design | Text

Select the "Web Site (cont)" tab, and the "Shipping & Tax" tab within this tab.

Scroll down to the bottom - you should see "Shipping and Handling User Definable" on the left hand side, and "Enter any special delivery instructions" on the right hand side.

Between these two, untick "Show" and "Required" boxes.

Click OK and do an upload.

from memory this should do it (although it was a long time ago).

Careful Melaine - people often use this field for instructions like: "Please leave in recycling bin" or "If no-one in, please leave with No 27". Royal mail staff do follow these instructions.
