Upgrading from version 4 on Microsoft Vista

Im trying to install actinic versions 6 / 7 upgrades on my computer. I have managed to put version 4 on no problem but when I install the later versions this message is displayed

“Write access is denied to C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6 \Upgrade v6.0.2.CNNA\Site 1\Theme\actinicextras.js Access to C:\Programs Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Upgrade v6.0.2.CNNA\Site1\Theme\actinic extras was denied. Please check the file permissions and try again or select a different file.”

Then I click OK and this comes up

“The theme changed was aborted. Please correct any errors and reselect the theme before continuing.”

Does the fact that I have vista make any difference?
I’m following all the installation instructions on screen!

Only the latest versions of v7 and v8 support Vista. You certainly won't be able to run v6 on it. You will probably have to upgrade to v7 or not at all.
    Cheers

Certainly does - there is no way you can get V4 working on Vista
