    Import Problems!

    Hi Guys,
    We currently run our site on two computers, one for order processing and one for content management. Every day or so we export the site from the content pc and import it onto the order management one just to make doing offline orders easier! But for some reason recently the orders pc wont accept the import. It all goes through fine and says all is good but it doesnt add any new products!

    Any ideas why?

    You actually do not need to update the order processing PC with the new products added to the content management PC, unless you do a lot of offline orders. This has been covered several times on the forum.

    Do you get any errors when you do the import? If you do, the error message will be helpful in analysing as to why this is happening.

      Are you using export / import to transfer the products or are you using a snapshot? If the later, have you ticked the box to transfer content?

        Hi Bruce, Unfortunately we do actually process alot of offline orders about 30 or more a day, so it's quite important the items are on both pcs!

        We don't get any error message, it just finishes the import but doesnt add any of the products!

          Do both the Pc's have the same point release of v7, when you export a snapshot from the pc on which you do the updates have you checked the size of that snapshot? Also do you get any error's when exporting.

            Hi Kiran,
            Yes, both PCs are running Version 7.0.7.0.0.0.HCFA.
            I dont get any errors when exporting OR importing and the file size of the Update.ACD is 280mb.
