    Copy & Paste Order Details

    Hi,

This has had me stumped in V6 now for some years and never really thought to ask . . . why can't you easily copy and paste the order info that is in the text fields inside any of the order info windows?

I have to send me order details to my supplier now and I have to re-type every single order that comes in to me which is a real pain.

I've tried to conquer the issue by having a copy order emailed to myself but, I need to have the Product Codes 'hidden' in my products on-line as some of my products are images or tutorials and un less I go thru the whole store again, adding all the product codes either in front or at the end of each of product description, I can't think or find an easy way to solve it?

Does anyone have any suggestions please and is this easier in V8?

    Thanks all . . .

[edit] PS I cannot send a copy email to supplier because some of my products are exclusive to me only and also, it would just confuse things at my end as their set-up is very different to mine.

Ok. Here's one way you can do it. I can see that being able to copy/paste the data directly would be much easier.

    1. Install a pdf printer such as cutepdf
    2. Print the packing list or Invoice to a pdf file
    3. Copy and paste the bits you want from the pdf file.

one way this is made easier in V8 is that you can have the product codes displayed on the emails but not on the website (by using a blockif to hide them on the website) so your copy order emails would have more detail to them.

Apart from that though, not really!

        Hi Brian,

The easiest way to do this it to create an email for the order and copy and paste from there - the latest version of our One Stop Order Processing allows you create emails with the full order details, so you could use that (One Stop Automation has this in beta). Free trials are available on the Mole End website as always.

Jan will this include the product codes as he says they're hidden on the website and thus don't appear in the standard emails?

The email copy/paste idea in Actinic will not work then but our product will include the product codes in the email.

              That's a nice add on.

                Thanks Mike,

That works a real treat and a bonus - a pdf writer for FREE! Cool.

Jan, I'll have to look at that, sounds very interesting. I do have the One Stop Automated software for the V6 site but I have lost the d-load since my PC's died. Can you help me with that?

Thanks all, brilliant! I love this forum

                  Hi Brian

If you email into mole end support, they will be able to send you a new one.

                  Cheers,
