    Verifying Site Ownership With Google

I am trying to verify site ownership by adding a Meta tag - is this as simple as adding an entry in the Meta Keywords field on the Page Properties of the Home page?

    Can anybody help with this?

Use their other option to load a blank page, it's easier and does the same thing. Its not a case of doing as you say, you'd need to go into the head section of your layout on the design tab, however this then goes on all pages using it. Just do the blank page, much easier.

You can do this or add it to your layout as lee says - yes it will add it to every page but once you have confirmed ownership with G you can then delete it.

you can't do this within Actinic as Actinic will upload to the acatalog folder.

Go get Filezilla and upload to the root, or just use FTP within IE

                Yep,

I understand that but being relatively new to Actrinic is it merely as simple as creating a page in the Home section with the name set as that specified by Google?

Rename the home page, upload and then rename it back and upload again. That's gotta be worth a try, if you are adamant on using actinic.

If you make changes in the Google webmaster account it can ask to verify again .. so the best to leave the page there and not delete.

Actinic will load its index page (brochure home page) to the root - place the code in there and upload - once varified remove it. A search would have shown the answer to this as I have posted several times on the subject before.

Right area, just do it higher up, go right underneath the </title> tag.
