    actinic support of no use

Hi, sorry to rant but i am fed up with a problem I have and support fobbing me saying i have a browser bug. I pay for cover and expect better customer service than this.

I loged an issue on Friday, chased them up today Tuesday and was told staff was off sick that's why I had no reply Monday. Ok, so then i start getting emails through from support saying I must have a firefox bug as my pages display ok to them in explorer.

They do not display ok that i do know!

I am trying to get my contact us page to be the same layout as my other pages, this should be created by amending the view cart layout template I am lead to believe unless I am wrong.
However any amendments I make to this template do not upload, I have done a site refresh as well as compacting database.

Any thoughts as to what I can do as support say my browser needs updating.

This is in test mode, the navigation should be the same throught site but is not. Please note links to competition and delivery are to test/acatalog and the other links are not.

It is the contact us link that does not call the correct page from template.

What a waste of money support is

Your contact form runs through your cgi-bin.

What is the link to your layout css? Have you changes your cgi id's? Have you changed it from the default?

    Regards
    Daren

(and yes its display is fubarred in IE, FF, Opera et al)

It's your script numbers dude, works fine if you use this link:

      Code:

hi, i have only switched to test mode, does this affect script id no's in a way that would stop the template working properly?

It looks like the navigation across the top is using the wrong script number for the contact form. I presume you have hard coded the contact us link into the template?

Yes they all prefix with a '9'. Hover over the view cart/checkout etc. and notice the difference.

Sorry i read your posts as saying there was one, i'd have to license a new v7 site to find out how it was done in the old way. Just change the number to prefix with 9 and give yourself a note to change back when you come out of test mode is the easiest.

thanks, have changed to id9 all ok, now, shame support have taken so long, why they said a browser bug is anyone's guess.
                        Thanks again

Remove the link to your test site before google indexes it and causes you a few more problems!
