Specifying the size (width) of the "Other Info" prompt

    Hi,

I have been around the houses on this one.

Viewing the code of the preview page shows the "Other Info" (from the product PROMPTS tab) input tag has
    Size="60"
    within it.

Due to the size of the image it makes the input box go off the far side of the page.

I cannot for the life of me find this size="60" setting anywhere, the Advanced Guide hinted it was in shoppingcart.pl but it's not.

If I could see in the templates where it positioned the "Other Info" I could possibly put it underneath the image.

If anyone can ease my pain I'd be extremely grateful.

I would imagine it is in the product layout, open that up and see what's in there.

I've put all the templates in my HTML editor and searched for size=60, size="60", size = 60, etc etc.

      Nothing

Hmm, maybe in v6 it was a layout in itself then and not in the product template, although i'm a little surprised at that i must admit. I no longer have v6 on my PC i'm afraid, so can't really offer any more assistance. If you cannot find this in the product template, then there must be a netquotevar bringing it in i would imagine. Can you read the code sequentially and see where it might be introduced and try and hunt it that way.

Sorry to be so vague, 2 years since i've seen v6 in action.

A bit of searching for "other AND info AND size" would have led you to

jees...reading that just reminds you how much simpler V8 is to find all this stuff, doesn't it!

LOL oh yes, as i was writing i was thinking maybe it is an ID in design text, but then i was racking my brain to see if i could recall whether there was design-text in v6. I wussed out of saying in case it was wrong.

Ladies and Gentlemen... you have my gratitude! Thank you thank you...

I've searched high and low in here, and had seen the id:2161 thing, but of course when I changed it I didn't include the "dummy" to get the spare %d value and it went haywire... left that and headed in the direction of trying to find how it was being passed the values into it... if I'd only kept searching the forums!

                  Thankyou!
