    Serious Refresh/Purge Problem (Bug?)

    Hi All,

We have a problem with our site, we cannot purge/update/refresh the site at all. Network settings are tested and work/validate correctly. This stems from an original attempt to purge and refresh where we were asked to manually delete .fil files. Now we can't purge at all or update, the dialogue box for both has vanished and importing a snapshot onto another computer throws up the same problem.

I'm stumped and the website is now down. Anyone have any ideas?

    We're running v7.0.6 GBGA Win XP sp2.

As we've tested on two separate computers this is not firewall/virus scanner related as both computers run on different internet connections with different virus scanners and firewalls.

Oh and if we switch sites to another site set-up with a different licence code everything works fine... bizzare.

Help me obi-wan, you're my only hope.

What changes did you do Andy that may have caused this?

And why did you delete the .fil files?

We changed server and were getting an "oldprod.fil" error, so decided to perform a purge of the .fil and .cat files. That's all. No changes to the catalog at all.

you should be able to delete .cat and .fil from both the webserver and site1 and then perform a web refresh

        what happens when you refresh?

          Interesting.

Clutching at straws we ran the network configuration wizard without changing any settings. Now it seems to be working *touches wood*. This is despite rebooting, exporting and importing snapshots and re-installing the patch.

Hope this helps someone else should this error re-occur.

Did you delete the .fil via your ftp too?
