Component Options

We have lots of components listed for a single product and have the quanity selected at basket.

If sombody buys 2 cash registers from us they may only want one box of till rolls, but as soon as they change the option to 2 it automatically changes all the components to 2.

Is there a way to have the qty for the main product as 2 plus and have the quanity of the components independant.

eg sharp 101 cash register example.

Unfortunately, if the product and component are added to the cart at the same time, the quantity will affect them both. For customers to be able to alter the quantity of the additional item separately, it will have to be a different product.
