Major problem - please help!

Hello,

I have a serious problem which i hope someone can help me solve...

I have my website up and running live which is just how i want it.

however ive lost the the disk with my backup on and my computer had a virus which wiped everything.

I had the site on another computer but its about 12 months old and very out of date. ie, old look and images

Is there a way i can get the settings etc from the site thats online now?

Ive downloaded all the files from the server to a seperate folder but dont know what to do next.

If i upload to the server now it will change my live site to how it looked 12 months ago..

any advice please ?

Without current backups unfortunately you're going to have to redo anything that's changed since your last backup. You can obviously get the product info from the site and files you've downloaded but there's no way to push that back into Actinic.

Are you sure that the database etc on your infected PC was unrecoverable? There are comanies out there that may be able to recover 'lost' data from the drive. (At a price of course)

Nope, lost the lot, PC world said it had hundreds of bad sectors and had to get me a new HD in the end.

Dont even know where to begin editing the site to how it supposed to look now.

took me months and months!

Have you still got the disk that was affected by the virus?

Plenty of recovery software out there that can recover files from formatted drives.

Certainly worth downloading a trial to see if it would work for you

We have used Getdataback succesfully.

Either that, or sent it to a specialist data recovery company, not cheap, but sounds like it is the better option.

Let me know if you need details, there is an express service, and no charge if they can't recover.
