    XP to Vista error message

I've been running version V7.02 for 3 years on XP Home and have now had to 'upgrade' to Vista due to serious laptop failure. I'm in the process of setting up the new laptop but guess what.......problems! I've dowloaded the V7.07 patch to upgrade from V7.02 but when I try to open actinic I am getting an error message 'unable to locate the database for the seleted site the site will remain unchanged'. This then closes the window and i'm back to square one. Am I being thick? I just need someone who knows what they're talking about so I can really appreciate how dense I am! Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
    kind regards

P.S I did find a string from 'thefaceofmomo' on 8/10/2007 but no solution.

        Hi louise

OK I've downloaded the patch but when I double click it to open it it gives an error box titled 'Catalog.exe - Unable to locate component' with the message 'This application has failed to start because XT4100Lib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem'.
So do I try to re-install Actinic from the CD as my next step?

Install rom the full version download of 7.0.7 - nothing else will give you the full Vista support.

Pay special attention to where you put the Site 1 - Vista can put it in Program Files OR My Documents.

Do you think I should download and re-install the down load of V7.0.7 HCFA UK - Full Version from the Actinic website at http://www.actinic.co.uk/referrer/Do...74&nCategory=5 ? I have already done this.
I've checked where Vista had put the files and they have gone to Program Files not My Docs. Any suggestions?

this might be somethingto do with permissions in Vista which was discussed here:

                Problem solved!

I seem to have sussed out the problem.

I initially loaded V7.0.2. from my original Actinic CD I got 3ish years ago, then downloaded the V7.0.7. from the Actinic website. I think that everytime I went to open the programme it was V7.0.2. which I was trying to open which we know is not Vista compatible.

I un-installed V7.0.2. then re-installed V7.0.7. from the Actinic website in to the default Programme directory and hey presto we're up and running!

May I thank you all for your suggestions, time and expertise it really is appreciated.

                Many thanks, and kind regards

                Steve
