How can I create a catalog page without any section links to it?

    Hi

I want to create a catalog page on my website that can be accessed by typing in the URL but that doesn't have any links to it within the website. It must be a catalog page because people should be able to add items from the page to their shopping cart.

I would be very grateful for any help with this. I've tried selecting 'none' for 'list placement' on the 'section: layout' page but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

    I'm using Actinic Business 6.

    Many thanks

    Jon

How about using 'add to cart from anywhere on the internet' links on your own designed page. You could create a page based upon a copy of an existing page and then manually modify it to suit and then add it to the additional files list.

I'd say the same as Duncan, although i would have it as a brochure page, so was still controlled in actinic, just not linked to from anywhere.

        Jon,
Duncan's suggestions is probably the best one when using Actinic V6.

Upgrading to V8, on the other hand, will allow you to use V8's inbuilt condtion functionality to exclude one or many sections from appearing in section links, menus etc, giving you exactly what you require.

Thanks for your help with this guys. In the end I created a new section, made it non-searchable and manually removed the link from the products index page. Not very elegant, but ok for now and I can still control it within Actinic.

          Cheers

          Jon
