    URGENT: Orders won't download

    Hi,

I've received several email confirmations since my last download, and payments have also been received ok.

But mole isn't downloading them, or recognising that they are there.

So I tried manually downloading (CTRL-D) and it says there are no orders to download. I've checked and the orders are not in the completed or pending section.

So why aren't they downloading and how do I 'recover' them? I need to get this sorted in the next 30-60 mins as some are next day deliveries...

What happens if you place a test order on your site and try to download that?

just did that, and downloaded using ctrl-d - it worked.

But I received a 'proper one' between my first post and the test - and that's disappeared as well.

My test was a non-protx so going to try a protx test

oooooooooo, that's bad. the test order has gone back to the number of the first missing order!

        eg.

        downloaded orders:

        ab1000
        bc1001
        cd1002

        missing orders (but email conf):

        xy1003
        xz1004
        yz1005

        test order:

        tt1003

Do you have this running on two machines? This happened to us and the orders only downloaded on the main machine and not to our web order admin machine....... crazy i know!

It all started with our host deleting our website and then putting it back on the web from a backup!

apparently I'm not the only one, as you will find out just as soon as they get there actinic forum account unlocked.

As we're using different payment providers the only common link would be the host, which we both use.

            Anyone else seeing these problems?

my site has about 30k items, and the DB is about 150mb compressed. based on previous experience a full purge and refresh takes over 12 hours, during which time the site would be down.

I'd prefer to investigate other options first!!!

Are you sure you havent gone over your limit on web content with your host?

Exactly same thing has happened to us. (Started about 1.15pm today)

Now lost 5 orders and counting !!

Last time this happened it was a DNS issue when we changed hosts.

I've been having a similar issue due to my host change...I'm sure thats normal.
It's not normal otherwise though, presuming you haven't changed anything.

who is your host? Have you checked to see if they have a status page that could be indicating problems at their end?

checking my site there has been no files created since 14:50 - which was a session file.

Now I've had tons of visitors (sessions) since then and a bunch of orders - but there are no session files and no .ORD files.

This certainly looks like it could be a DNS issue then...

Yes I have reported this already.
