components and attributes

I have about 500 porducts that all have the same range of colors. RED, BLACK, WHITE, BLUE.
rather than adding the components and attributes, color chioces 1 by 1 to my products, I like to now if I can use access and automatically have it ADD IT TO ALL 500 PRODUCTS?

Trying to this via Access is very risky.

An alternative would be to export your product into a Hierarchical file, add the extra records and re-import.

As always, best test such things out on a spare system and back-up beforehand.

I exported it into excel. but how do i insert the colors automatically for all 500 items automatically in EXCEL?
I do not want to do it 1 by 1.

Copy paste in the content tree is what i would do if they are all the same, an hours work tops.
