Transfer data to an Excel Spreadsheet

Does anyone if this is possible?

We want to transfer all our orders and customer details into an Excel spreadsheet.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you seen this thread from the other day http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=33767 .. it explains how to set up the report extracting to get various info into CSV files which you can open into Excel.

"You can extract them straight from the database or you can export them to a CSV file for opening with Excel.

Under View | Business Settings | Order Processing | Report Options .. ensure all 3 reports are enabled at the bottom in the page (set the path of the files to say the desktop)

Switch to the orders tab, highlight the orders you want to export the email address on then Reports | Reports Selections | Export Orders

The email addresses are in the persons.csv file"

When you say set the path of the files to the desktop... I dont understand what you mean!

In the order processing tab against the report set up you can specify where to save the extracted files.. click on the button to the right and then navigate to the desktop and enter your filename there... you do not have to do this as Actinic will save to a default location but finding again may be tricky - if you tell it to save to the desktop it makes finding again much more simple.

Do you know how you have all the details on one spreadsheet?

The details are kept in some quite complex database fields so getting them all into one spreadsheet would be a chore. You could work direct with the database with an advanced query but again is not for the feint of heart.

Check out Jan's Mole end tools - she has lots of plug in etc which may have something you are seeking
