    Catalog 6.1.3 won't open

    I have installed cataloge 6.1.3 on to my windows ME PC, but when you click on the icon catalog displays the splash screen and refuses to open. I have reformatted my PC installed IE 6 but the same thing happens again. What can I do to solve this problem?

    Hi there

    When you reinstalled Actinic, did you also install MDAC and JET, these should have been installed as well.

    Did you get any installation error when you installed Actinic?

    I cannot see a reason why Actinic will not work on your pc, do please see if there was any error messages on installation

      this has now happened to me after reinstalling win 98.

        a little tip

        hi guys, sometimes when you start up actinic and it thinks its database has been upgraded, you get to the splash screen and nothing seems to happen.....if you hold down your Alt key, and press the TAB key once or twice, you may just get to a dialog box that pops up sometimes saying 'database upgrade completed' and wanting you to click ok, totally underneath the splash logo...

        this is not an actinic phenomenon and i have had to alt+tab several programs in the past just to get to see a dialog box that was halting installation....

        as ever, hope this helps...
