    Sending E-Mails

    When I try to send e-mails I am getting an error: Failed to communicate with SMTP server. I am not having problems with any of my e-mail accounts and can both send and receive. I have freeserve broadband and in the advanced network settings, my Mail SMTP server is set to smtp.freeserve.co.uk.

    Any ideas?

    With reference to your issue, we would suggest in using the smtp server which has been provided from your hosting company, not your ISP.

    If you were to us your ISP, then you will get errors within Actinic

    Please ask your webhosting company what your smtp server is? and place this in the smtp server field within Network Setup.

    Once you have done this, please check your email address, within View | Business Setting | Company / Contact

    Your email address should be of your domain name (an example would be: nadeem@actinic.com)

      Try using "localhost" without the prompts and give that a go, works more times than not, or there is a unofficial patch you could do within the scripts that overcomes this problem if all else fails...
