    Components etc.

If I have a product that has a choice of two or more sizes and each size has a different price how do I configure all the values shown component to enable this to work.

I have tried numerous combinations without success.

If my catalog has not yet been uploaded to the web how do I know if the pricing within the component works? The off-line preview seems limited in what it can show.

Furthermore, when the product (picture and description) is shown on the page, the price is shown as well. How do I show TWO prices for the TWO different sized items? I was intending to use the radio buttons for the 'small' and 'large' sizes.

Yes, this might seem an easy one to answer but I am new to web design and Catalog however so far managed to build 75% with any need for help... just hope to finish soon!!!

Are you expecting an order for a single piece at a particular size...or are you expecting multiple orders in a range of sizes, ie, 2 small, 1 medium, 1 XXL, 2 XXXL?

If you simply need to have a person stipulate THE one size they want...and want to show the price...create a Component called Size, an Attribute called SIZE, a drop down list with each of the sizes as a choice. In the component go to Permutations, click Fill List, and enter the price for each size.

If you're looking for a way to take larger orders in the full size range, Norman Rouxel has an add-on that can handle any number of colors and sizes.

    Hope that helps.

This will create the differently prices choices. Prices do not appear in the drop-down/radio buttons by default. If you want these to appear then you are going to have to manually add the price into the 'HTML for Name' field of the choice.

If you don't want a price to appear under the product, then leave the price of the product as '£0.00' and set the 'Pricing Model' in the 'Components' tab to 'Sum of Component Prices'

The Advanced Guide shows how to set up a standalone webserver on your Catalog system so that you can run it internally with almost full functionality. This is ideal for testing as the upload of pages and download of orders is almost instantaneous.

Search the AG for "standalone" and you'll find the relvant chapter.

Once you've got it all working all you have to do is change the network settings to point at your real server and you're live.

          components, etc

          Hi

I have this OK, but now I have a big gap between:

The component Size and the Atrribute called SIZE:

          Like this

          Size
          (gap)
          SIZE
          and then choices are listed

How can I get rid of that gap?

          Thanks
