    Excel adding properties

I use an Excel file as the feeder for the products on our website.
We currently have around 1300 unique products on the site and only stock one off items, so each new product has to be added one at a time.

Using various Concatenates i generate the majority of the required fields but each product still takes about a minute to add to the site. We add around 100 new products twice a week so this can become tedious.

    My question is:

is it possible to generate and populate the properties fields in a product using an excel spread sheet.
We use a maximum of five properties per product if it makes any difference.

    Hopefully

    Darren

Yes, there's two possibilities. One to import products from an Excel spreadsheet; the other to externally link to an Excel spreadsheet. Information about both methods can be found in the program help.

        Darren,

The only way to import Properties is via a Hierarchical file, In 'Help | Help Topics' look for 'Importing Content Into Actinic', the field name is '
Variable Name (User Defined Variable) The user-definable variables that are settable at brochure / section / product page level. There could be any number of these.

        Kind regards,
