Add Fields on Checkout Pages?

How easy is it to add a new field to the checkout?
I want to add a field were the user can add a "puchase order number".
as well adding a field that field that asks for the users "organisation".

I've been working on Act_Order01.html - does all the info go in here or is there a .pl file (like the one that you have to change to edit the contact form).

Hi Steven

Its does involve a bit of both, editing your "Act_Order01.html" and also "Orderscript.pl". However you do have user definable fields in your checkout stages, if you go to "Design | Text | Web Site (cont) | General Information", you have here 3 fields you can use for the last stage on checkout.
