Not really - these days you can go quite high as 65% of the UK population has broadband. 100K is a good working level as G tends not to look at pages much above this.

Even in the days of dialup a good guide was about 85K.

don't forget - some people are moving to 3g broadband which does have monthly transfer limits - therefore it is better to keep images sensibly sized - Malc's suggestion of 75-100k MAX per page is good

Thank you for everyone letting me know about the size of my pages. I am getting a new and better layout. That should help the size of the pages.

But I still don't know why that error is coming up still.
