Is there a reference book ?

We all know about "The Dummies Guide To..." series of reference book but I have never found anything similar for Actinic. Is there such a beast ? I'm afraid I am a bit old school in that I like to read a proper printed book and make sure I understand it by reading sections a few times over. I'm in the book trade and can't seem to find anything with my suppliers...

I'll echo this comment...I too like to 'hit the books' when learning new software or languages, the Starter Guide and AUG are all very well but limited in scope and not really designed to be read from cover to cover. Surely there is a actfanatic out there who could knock up a dummies guide...i feel sure that there is an untapped market! (could even sell the book online perhaps?)

I considered writing such a beast to compliment v8 but to be honest it would not be financially rewarding and would require updates every week or so.

Hence a dog of a project...

This has been discussed before and as far as I remember the reasons against it were as above ie out of date as soon as it was printed and very little profit. It would be a huge task as you would need to cover html, css, Dreamweaver etc etc - it took most experienced V7 users several months to get to grips with V8 and now V9 is getting near it will start again.

Has it ever been suggested that an "auction" module to Actinic be considered ? As a complete "numpty" even I can imagine this might be a hell of a thing to create but I sell quite a few bits on "that place" because I don't really have a feel for a true value and think an auction would find it. Mind you, it then goes and sells for a lot less than I had an inkling for !!!
