    Font used in Theme?

    Actinic Business v.5.1.6.
I am using the slimline template and would like to know what the font is that's used in the button images, so that I can create a new button.
    Thanks in advance.

    This site may help:
    http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
but you may have to change all the buttons if you can't match it - which may be the simplest solution anyway.

There are many Font sites out there that can help, just type a search for free fonts, or cool fonts, i have used Arial rounded in the past to make new buttons, worked for me but then you may be using a different theme to me.
if all else fails you could always redesign all of the buttons with a font of your choice, this is very easy to do, but takes a bit of time, but the added bonus is that whenever you need a new button you will just be able to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Since nobody seems to know what this font is (and whatthefont doesn't seem to be able to identify it either), I will just make all new buttons.

Why not provide an example, one of us might know?

Good idea, thanks. I have attached a button.

Well Maggie that's an awful bloody font, but everything is loved by someone as they say. It's not an exact match but 'Haettenschweiler' is very close. Use that for your new buttons, you won't tell the difference, once they're all the same.

                Thanks for the suggestion.

I agree that it is an awful font. I don't like it at all, but would like to get the web site running as quickly as possible and make the time to make new buttons later. I am not very swift at image editing, so this will be rather time-consuming for me.

You are spending alot of effort but using a very outdated version of Actinic - why not upgrade and V8 will do lots more for you. Just an idea

This has occurred to me. What challenges would be involved in upgrading to v. 8? I have not edited any of the templates or done anything else fancy.

Also, I have been unable to find the upgrade price or an email address to write to to find out.

Phone sales direct and ask them, number is on their website. Expect to pay £470, anything better than that and you've done well.

You can download a 30 day trial of V8 from the Actinic website. Import a snapshot and let the upgrader do its work - select apply V8 default template option and bobs your uncle. You can then upload to your test site and have a play for 30 days without spending a penny.
