    No message displayed when Catalog Suspended

    Hi,

    I'm having a week off (Hooray!) and have suspended my Catalog, but all this has done is removed my Add to Cart button and doesn't display a Catalog Suspended message in its place. Out of stock works fine. I'm now getting e-mails from customers (even though I have an announcment on my index page) asking whats wrong!?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Catalog suspended

    Hi there,

    The reason for the message not appearing could be because the messages prompt which is taken from Actinic Design | Text is blank.

    In order to check the prompt has a value please goto Design | Text click on the goto button and input these values; Phase -1, ID 335, The curser should appear in the prompt field, if that has no value in there then please insert a message or simply click on the button 'Restore Default'.

    Hope this helps.
    Thank You

      Hi Menar,

      Thanks for replying, when I looked the CATALOG SUSPENDED text was there. I changed it to "Annual Holidays" and this made no difference. Then I did as you mentioned and restored defualts and still no message.

      Any other ideas?

      Thanks

        Hi there,

        Could you please goto "Advanced | Template manager" goto the 'section tab' and click on the 'Suspend button' (if you are in the graphical view please click on the change view button) and check to see if the variable NETQUOTEVAR:CATALOGSUSPENDED is within the template, if it is not there then please insert the variable.
        Thank You

          Hi Menar,

          This is what's in the file Act_suspended..

          <!-- Suspended HTML begin -->
          <!-- This template is used for the catalog suspended message. -->

          <B><P class="actwarningcolor">NETQUOTEVAR:CATALOGSUSPENDED</P></B>

          <!-- This template is used for the catalog suspended message. -->
          <!-- Suspended HTML end -->

          Does that look ok?

          Thanks!

            Hi there.

            That template is seems fine, however it appears that in View | Business Settings | Ordering under the 'online ordering area' you need to have or make sure that both of the check boxes are checked.
            Thank You

              Menar,

              That's fixed it - thank you very much!!

              Now I can go and enjoy the rest of my Holiday.

              Best wishes,

              Polly
