Entering Extended Product Information

Hi,

Could anyone explain why actinic will only let me use a parent layout in the Extended Information tab.
I have tried almost all the alternative layout but only the parent layout is displayed when I upload.

Have you tried refreshing the popup? It may be cached by your browser. Right-click within it and choose "Refresh".

However, the link I am trying to insert doesn't apperar in the popop.

Said link will only appear if you add [LINK] into the description somewhere.

I have tried that as you can see on screen shots, only the text appears but not the actial link. Any ideas?

Malcolm is correct.

The Extended Info is often a small popup page and opening another page within there wouldn't be desirable.

If you really need such functionality, it could easily be added by creating Variables for the link and accompanying text and adding them to the Extended Info layout. Put a condition around said code so nothing is generated if the URL is empty.
