Googlebase XML bad data errors

    Hi All,

I am trying out the Product Mash from Mole End to create a Googlebase feed but am having problems after uploading the file to Google.

I get a page full of errors for all 402 products as follows:

Error: This attribute has too many values. -
    Bad Data: id:http://www.seriouslysilver.co.uk/acatalog/Rings_2.html

I am assuming Google is not happy with the XML file generated and is reading the ID tag as the link.

Here is the first part of the XML file

    Code:
    xml version="1.0"?>

Seriously Silver

Seriously Silver

       <g:id>SHP0002</g:id>

Elegant Turquoise Pendant

A generous oval of turquoise is set in a silver bed decorated with a swirl and bead detail, suspended from tubular bail and completed with a highly polished finish.

       <g:image_link>http://www.seriouslysilver.co.uk/acatalog/SHP0002.JPG</g:image_link>
       <g:price>15.00</g:price>
       <g:expiration_date>2008-03-10</g:expiration_date>
       <g:currency>GBP</g:currency>
       <g:brand>Seriously Silver</g:brand>
       <g:condition>new</g:condition>
       <g:product_type>jewelry sets</g:product_type>

Anybody got any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Mole End has loads of help/faqs on their support desk, have you looked there?

Have searched through all the Knowledgebase Articles there but didn't find anything.

Looking through these forums, it looks like Googlebase changes its criteria quite often, so maybe they have changed again.

best thing I can advise is to ditch the XML and create a .txt feed using the MoleEnd Froggle export instead.
Then upload the txt file to GB. These seem to be considerably less troublesome, IME

          Hi Andy,

The snippet of your XML file included here doesn't include the section that is causing the problem. Could you send your XML file into our support desk please, then we can have a look at it and will be able to better analyse the problem. It's likely to be down to a particular product name or product details.

From looking at the XML generated, it looks as if you are using an old version of the product, if you are, I would also suggest downloading and using the latest.

            Hi Jan,

I think I am using the latest version of Product Mash (2.1.0.16) with Google Base being the only option ticked in the right hand side.

I will send in the complete XML file to the help desk.
