Section Links from Login Page with SSL

Searching for 'SSL redirect login links' & more hasn't found me an answer. My website url is in my profile to your left.

We went SSL before Christmas, since when I've had the 'secure/nonsecure' problem with the Login page in IE6 - (IE7 not tested; FF doesn't do it) - that I have been trying to fix. But in investigating this I notice:

My Section Links in the lefthand panel are now hard-coded, drawn from a text-file to make site-wide changes easily. For the Login Page, Actinic has translated these links from 'http://' in the textfile to 'https://'.

As a result, if you leave the Login Page using those links, the whole site goes SSL, with the resultant 'secure/nonsecure' message on every page visited. You only get rid of it after you have used either a javascript section link, or another hard-coded link on a store page.

Exactly the same coding is used in the SSL checkout but it doesn't happen there. How can I get rid of it? Assistance appreciated.
