Exporting email addresses

We send out several newsletters each year to past customers (with a simple opt out reply mechanism of course) and also to those who have visited our site and requested the newsletter. Merging the two email lists is very time consuming and there has to be another way.

I've looked on the community but can't find any reference to a solution. Does anyone have a solution?

if you use custom mailing list software you can append one list to the other and ask the software to remove all the duplicates
