Trying to find my way around!

I'm up to speed on XHMTL/CSS and have modified a few templates very successfully, but I find it very difficult to identify the right template for some of the more detailed features. I've tried reading the manuals and help pages etc but they don't seem that user-friendly.

For example I'm using NETQUOTEVAR:TOPLEVELSECTIONSTOP to create a vertical menu in the leftbar and I want to change the formatting of it - in particular I want to change it from tables to divs - but I can't seem to find the template that generates this list of sections.

Am I missing something (quite probably!) - is there an easy way of finding out where everything is?

There is no really easy way with v7. The best place to start is perhaps by going to - Advanced - Template Manager (with the View set to show all the buttons).

Other's have tried and removed a lot of the tables from v7 in the past - but it's not for the faint hearted. TBH it might be better upgrading, which will give you much better accessibility to remove most of the tables.

A lot of the formatting in v7 is tucked away in Design -Text entires.

Your wasting your time with V7 IMO

Thanks for the quick replies. I think I'm stuck with v7 for now as my client doesn't want to upgrade, but it's good to know that I'm not missing anything obvious.

Your client should know that v7 development will cease in about one month when v9 is released.

There will still be support, but none of the new functionality will ever be added.

Is there an upgrade price from v7 to v8 or do you have to buy v8 as a new package? I couldn't find anything on the Actinic site about upgrading.

Call sales to discuss upgrade pricing.

Look to upgrade to v9 rather than v8.
