Receipt page from paypal...

Sorry if this has been covered but i cannot find anything for the following issue.

Im using paypal as a PSP, but what should i put in the return URL in paypal so it takes the customer to a receipt page on my site that they can print off etc.?

Or is there another way that im missing ?

Hi Kez,

You should not fill in the 'Return URL' on the paypal site. The return url is dynamic within Actinic and is sent by the perl scripts. Because it contains the order number it will be different for every customer. The customer should see a link on the screen to return to the merchant site to get their receipt page.

Should the auto-return be selected in paypal though ?

Also, do i need to put anything in the "URL for completed and aborted checkout" within the misc options.

If yes, do i have to make this page manually ?

You would need to find this out from Paypal as to whether their 'Auto-return' feature will accept the parameters sent by our scripts. I would assume that they don't but it would be worth checking.

Only if you want your customers to return to a particular page if they complete or cancel the checkout process

Only if the page isn't generated by Actinic.
