Using wildcards to search products.

Hi, We are using V6 and I am wondering if it is possible to use wildcards when searching, i.e. If the product being searched for begins 1234**** then the second half is ignored and only 1234 is displayed? This to be used for custom products that do not normally appear on our website.
I have looked at various ways but none seem to work. Can the ss000001.pl script be modified to do this. Note: I am not a Perl expert.

Hi,

We don't actually support wildcards, however, there is an implicit '*' at the end of every search so searching on '1234' should bring up anything with that in it, such as:

123456789
521234598
36841234
