How do I do this?!

I have a client who uses Actinic Business 4. She sells hampers, gifts and clothing.

She only wants UK orders for her hampers, and to make the price P&P inclusive.

Gifts and Clothings are sent worldwide, with P&P by weight, in defined bands.

We're having difficulty working out how you cope with the P&P for orders for gifts/clothing when combined with a hamper order - the hamper price includes P&P but it gets expensive when additional P&P charges are made.

Basically, we can't apply individual shipping charges to products and create shipping/tax rules - or is there a way round this?

Also, is there any way to restrict just hamper orders to the UK?

Hi David

You can't apply individual shipping costs to individual products I'm afraid.

However, if you ship by weight, then you can create a band in your shipping classes where both 'Weight in kg' and 'Cost' are '0'. That way, if an order weighs nothing, then it incurs no shipping charge. You can then set all your hampers at a weight of '0'.

No ideas on the issue around only shipping hampers within the UK. This just isn't something supported by Actinic. All you can do is put a great big label on your hamper products that says 'This is only available to UK customers'. Or else create two stores - one for the UK and one for international customers.
