      Hi Heidi,

Before you clear anything from your server, can you check if you have any 'old*.fil' files in your 'acatalog' folder please. This is an issue that we have been trying to get to the bottom of for a long time but it tends to get fixed before we get anywhere with it. Once you have checked this for me the workaround is to:

      Close Actinic
      Open ActinicCatalog.mdb with Access 2000
      Open the table MergeFileState
There will be several records where you should expect to see the following data
      (same for all records)
      sCurrentServerDate '-'
      nCurrentDSTStae -1
      nPreviousDSTSate 0

For all records set nPreviousDSTSate to -1.

      Close Access
      Open Actinic
      Update site

        Tracey -

That makes sense - let me know if there's any info I can provide you for better understanding this issue. I won't get to this until after 6pm EDT today (i'm at UT-4).

        Best,

        Heidi

          Thanks Heidi,

At the moment I just need to know if the 'old*.fil' files exist in the 'acatalog' folder or not. If not, then we really need to know how they were removed, so if you didn't do it then maybe you could ask your host if they've done it inadvertantly or if they can tell us when they were deleted. Maybe server logs for the day that they were deleted might help us.

Once you have checked on the server you should be able to apply the workaround to get your site working again.

            Tracey -

The old*.fil file is missing from the acatalog folder. If I did it (which definitely seems possible given the mess of the past week), it wasn't intentional. I'll ask my host if they can track it.

            Best,

            Heidi

              Tracey -

Here's the response from the host:

I was able to locate the following files on our backup server:

              oldtext.fil 4/9
              oldprod.fil 4/9
              oldaccount.fil 4/2
              oldaddress.fil 4/2
              oldbuyer.fil 4/2
              oldprice.fil 3/23

Your workaround worked, thank you! It looks like our site is all happy now.

              Best,

              Heidi

Thanks Heidi. I've passed that information over to our development team. Hopefully, this will get us closer to a solution for this problem.
