Hello. Im trying to make my product descriptions of the text to be a lot wider, as the text is very fixed - if u have a big picture of the product, u hardly get any space at all for the text, and it looks very poor. But i cannot see how to change the fixed set of space there - is there some way to do this? I just want the text to be fixed at 95% or somethimg, where as it looks like the standrad product descriptions and text and pics are like fixed at 300 pixels or something. Thank you.

You need to look at floating the image and then the text will wrap around and fill the space according to the size of the image.. this entails removing any table cells in the act_productline.html layout and using css.

In v7 and beneath you can also increase the size of the central area under Design | Options | Site Defaults | Properties .. property "ACTSTDWIDTH"
It also depends on which layout you are using. A URL would enable a more precise answer.Comment

thx, im using v6 and "ACTSTDWIDTH" does nothing im afraid on the product page, only the main index age.
As for the act_productline.html cannot see any fix table at there. Lots of "NETQUO...." no proper table structure.
Surely it cant be that hard just to get a better size for each product!? thx...Comment

ACTSTDWIDTH is usually added at the act_primary.html level as the act_productlayout.html is nested into that template and it's table structures work inside the parent.
If ACTSTDWIDTH is not having an effect on product pages (or sectoin levels) it could be the value has been removed and hardcoded at some pointComment
