Snapshop Encryption

Hello everyone,

Are the Snapshots in v7 encrypted? the reason I ask is when I restore and snapshot from version 7 into a v9 trail. I can view all the orders from the v7 snapshot, is this normal?

This is normal but you can select whether you want orders imported or not - the order is only encrypted online.

Yes that's normal, a snapshot is just that, a snapshot of everything at the time it was made.

This is quite an important issue especially if you back up the ACD to a flash stick and take home from the office. The ACD should be encrypted at the export / import stage and if backing up to portable media the disk / stick should also be encrypted.
