Is there a way to show the tax only after the buyer has selected the " Selecte state/Province if applicable"?
right now it shows the tax in the shopping cart for Florida residents. what is the buyer is not from florida. he still sees the tax until he selects the State he is in.

I want to have tax shown only if the buyer selects FLORIDA, and for all others Not show the tax.

Is there a way?

reason i want this changed is because, a buer in california, when tries to check out, sees Florida tax, says, what the hell is this? he is hesitant to push the NEXT button to choose California.

Hi Mac

The tax (and shipping rate) will only be displayed before the country/region selection stage if you have shopped at that site before. The information is held in a cookie and session file and your details are remembered before you select the destination. So a customer in California will only see Florida tax if they have previously used a Florida address on that site.
