deducting VAT on Overseas orders - v6

We can manually deduct the VAT for credit card sales but if people pay by Paypal, the payment goes through as detailed at Checkout (ie with VAT). So then we have to make a Paypal repayment which is a bit clunky.

Is there a way that non-EC orders can be automatically charged exVAT

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you use 'Simple' tax (View | Business Settings | Tax) it will always apply tax. You should switch to 'Advanced' Tax and choose either 'Tax by delivery address' or 'Tax by Invoice Address' for it to be able to work out whether or not to charge tax depending on the country.
