    under attack by hackers?

we are using actinic catalog v6.1.5.0.0.0.EGRA. We have recently started getting randon small orders from america with false email and delivery addresses. Each order is attempted 6-7 times, the card not working for the first few attempts, then 2 orders of low value are placed with payment. This is occuring at least once a day.
I pressume they are trying to hack into our data base or the protx banking system. Has anyone had this problem and are there any recommendations how to prevent it?

Sounds like fraudsters testing stolen cards perhaps - not particularly trying to hack your site I don't think.

You could look in your server logs to check the referring IPs and see if can block the access that way.

It sounds like someone is using your site to test stolen card details on. Once they find one that isn't blocked they'll be off somewhere else to either sell the details on or max out the card.

It might be worth logging the IP address of your buyers to see if they're using the same one all the time. The details on how to do this should be in the Advanced User Guide.

If they are using the same IP address then you can block this from your website and the problem should go away.
